Position Overview
As a Transportation Account Manager / Dispatcher, you will serve as the vital connection between our customers, professional CDL drivers, and internal operations team. You'll coordinate freight movement, manage customer accounts, communicate with drivers, optimize routes, monitor shipments, and ensure loads are delivered safely and on time.
This role combines transportation dispatch, customer service, logistics coordination, and fleet management into one dynamic position.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day transportation and dispatch operations
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and professional drivers
Coordinate freight schedules and delivery appointments
Monitor shipments and communicate load status with customers
Dispatch drivers and optimize routes for efficiency
Coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance personnel
Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
Perform routine data entry and transportation documentation
Resolve transportation issues quickly while providing outstanding customer service
Qualifications
One (1) year of transportation dispatch, freight brokerage, logistics, or trucking industry experience preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude
Team player with a positive work ethic
High school diploma or equivalent
